The numerous characters and plotlines may have novice readers scratching their heads; reading the first installment is probably a good idea before tackling this one. The book is filled with nonstop action and quite a few surprises, and M doesn't know where to turn as she makes her way through layer after layer of betrayal and subterfuge. Welcome back. It's got all the style and romance of a Louis L'amour. I love the law enforcement, and the murder investigations that are sometimes in her books, they make them so much better. which side will M pick lawless ,the fulbright acadamy ,both. I guess I like those stories about struggling in the early west.I really liked these two characters.
