Most Canadian athletes that are featured in the various bodybuilding publications earned their titles competing in CBBF competitions. The Mr. America contest is a bodybuilding competition started by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). This is the only Canadian organization that qualifies competitors for competition at the three annual IFBB World Championships, and the only one that awards competitors an IFBB Elite Pro Card. The team is picked from a special National competition where the selected athletes are drug tested before traveling to the World Championships.
