Forte's performance is marked by a slow and subtle evolution of character, and his refusal to play MacGruber any way other than straight up; and therein lies the power that gives this satirical romp actual weight - both comic and, surprisingly, dramatic. Slapstick comedy and parody stuff is great, when done well. Worth watching for a laugh!
